Anxiety

Anxiety can be debilitating at worst, extremely and unnecessarily uncomfortable at best. It might be a physical discomfort or cause you to behave very rigidly, making it difficult to do daily things or accept change.

How Therapy Can Help With Anxiety

Therapy can help you learn to manage your anxiety, and gain control over both your thoughts and physical sensations when anxiety rears its ugly head. Ultimately, with time, you can learn to free yourself from the cage of anxiety’s imprisonment, thus allowing for a much more carefree life.

My Approach to Treating Clients With Anxiety

I work with anxiety by use of teaching you tricks to calm your mind and body. We also find and address the underlying issues that are causing you to feel anxious. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy can also be an effective tool to remove physical body sensations anxiety creates in so many people.

Things to Consider

If anxiety makes you avoid social situations, prevent you from using your voice in the classroom or at work, creates negative self-talk or a negative self-image, or holds you back in any other way, then let’s talk about how to create a plan to get you back in control of your thoughts and body!
