Depression
Depression can feel like a dark cloud that looms over us, sucking all enjoyment out of life. It is isolating, painful, and relentless. With depression, we often sink into negative thought patterns and the isolation overtakes us, causing a cycle that can feel impossible to break.
How Therapy Can Help With Depression
Therapy can help you identify and learn to better handle external factors that might contribute to your depression. It can teach you how to notice when depression is coming back, and give you tools to stay one step ahead of the cloud.
My Approach to Treating Clients With Depression
I work with depression by helping you identify what thought patterns you’re stuck in, and ultimately helping you to change them. Together we find ways for you to support yourself and increase your self-worth. I hold the hope for you until you are able to find it for yourself (and you will).
Things to Consider
Not everyone who is depressed is suicidal, but being suicidal is a very real concern with depression. If you are suicidal or depressed at all, it is highly recommended that you seek out professional help. Depression is a real disease, and it must be treated as such. Please do not let mental health stigma prevent you from getting the professional help that you need.
