Since 300 B.C. it was discovered that all humans fall into one of 16 temperament categories. We all energize a certain way, receive information from the world a certain way, make sense of that information a certain way, and have a certain lifestyle preference. Throughout history, this concept has been labeled different things, but remains a strong, steady concept.

The most popular understanding of this concept today is known as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

How a Temperament Assessment Can Help in Therapy (and Life!)

Therapists trained in temperament type work can help you better understand yourself—your strengths, your weaknesses, and gain and understanding about why you have those specific ones. You can also learn new ways to explain your communication style and your needs to those closest to you, thus improving overall relationships and communication.

This enables me to reach you in a language that is unique to you, personalizing the approach to therapy even further.

Things to Consider

This truly has been a game changer for my practice and my personal life. When we are able to understand ourselves, and explain that self to others, the world opens up in new ways. No type is inherently good or bad, all types are extremely valuable and have amazing strengths.
